Immigration DNA Testing Services

Immigration DNA testing can feel overwhelming, especially when your family’s future is involved. The most important thing is working with a trusted provider who explains the process clearly and handles your case with care.

At Genetics On-The-Go, we keep things simple, respect your privacy, and guide you through each step so you never feel rushed or confused. Our goal is to help you move forward with confidence and peace of mind.

For many families, this process is about more than paperwork. It’s about creating opportunity, stability, and a better life in the United States.

We understand the weight of that journey, and we treat every case with care and respect because we know what this step represents for you and your loved ones.

Our role is to make this part of your path easier, clearer, and handled with integrity so you can move forward with confidence toward your future.

How the Process Works:

Immigration DNA testing is usually requested after immigration authorities determine that additional proof of a biological relationship is needed. Genetics On-The-Go helps families navigate this step clearly and professionally.

Here is how the process typically works:

Step 1: Submit Your Immigration Petition

You begin by filing your immigration paperwork with the appropriate agency (such as USCIS or a U.S. embassy). During review, the immigration authority may determine that DNA testing is required to confirm a family relationship.

Step 2: Receive DNA Testing Instructions

If DNA testing is needed, the immigration authority or attorney will issue written instructions requesting an accredited DNA test. These instructions will outline where testing must be performed and what procedures must be followed.

Step 3: Schedule Your DNA Collection

Once you receive the request, contact Genetics On-The-Go to schedule your collection appointment. We coordinate with an accredited laboratory and ensure collection is performed under proper chain-of-custody procedures required for immigration testing.

Step 4: DNA Collection Appointment

All participants are collected in person by appointment.

You will need:

✅Valid identification for adults

✅Legal guardian present for minors

✅Official request letter if issued by immigration authorities

Step 5: Testing and Processing

Samples are sent to the laboratory for testing. The lab completes the analysis and delivers results directly to the appropriate immigration authority, attorney, or embassy as required.

Step 6: International or Embassy Cases (If Required)

If one or more participants are located outside the U.S., the laboratory coordinates directly with the embassy or consulate to arrange collection and results delivery.

Step 7: Confirmation and Follow-Up

Once your case is complete, we notify you and provide guidance on what happens next with your results.

Important Notes

At-home DNA kits cannot be used for immigration purposes.

Identification is required for all participants.

Results are not released directly to the client unless permitted.

Immigration advice is not provided.

**We also provide Apostille & Notary Services for International documents if needed through Triangle Notary & Apostille.

✅ Act Quickly Once DNA Is Requested

As soon as immigration authorities request DNA testing, it’s best not to wait. Delays can slow down your case. Starting quickly helps protect timelines and prevent resubmission requests.

✅ Work Only With Accredited Providers

Immigration DNA testing must be done through approved laboratories with proper chain-of-custody procedures. Home kits or walk-in clinics without authorized processing will not be accepted.

✅ Follow Instructions Exactly

Each case may have different requirements depending on the agency, embassy, or country involved. It’s important to:

*Bring required identification

*Follow collection instructions

*Attend appointments as scheduled

*Submit paperwork accurately

Mistakes can cause retesting or denials.

✅ Ask Questions Early

If you’re unsure about anything, ask before moving forward. It’s much easier to correct a question before testing than to fix an error afterward.

✅ Plan for International Logistics

If anyone is outside the U.S., understand that embassy coordination and shipping take time. Starting early reduces stress and last-minute issues.

✅ Stay Organized

Keep copies of:

*Your immigration request letter

*Appointment confirmations

*Identification documents

*Any embassy instructions

Organization alone can save weeks.

✅ Be Honest and Accurate

Incorrect names, dates of birth, or identities can invalidate results. Every detail must match immigration records exactly.

✅ Get Support Instead of Guessing

Trying to figure out immigration DNA testing on your own can lead to costly mistakes. Working with professionals who handle this process regularly gives you peace of mind and prevents do-overs.
