During a Day with a Scientist™ Birthday Lab, children participate in age-appropriate hands-on STEM experiences designed to encourage curiosity, observation, experimentation and discovery.
Depending on the selected experience, young scientists may use laboratory tools, practice pipetting and measuring, explore microscopy, investigate contamination, observe scientific phenomena and participate in colorful chemistry activities.

What ages are STEM birthday parties designed for?
Our current birthday experiences are best suited for approximately ages 5–12. Activities may be adapted based on the age and developmental level of the participating group.
Do you provide the birthday venue?
No. Genetics On-The-Go provides the STEM birthday experience at your home, clubhouse or appropriate event venue.
Do you provide cake, food or decorations?
No. We specialize in the science experience while families handle food, cake and traditional birthday decorations.
How many children can participate?
Standard packages accommodate up to 10, 12 or 15 participating children depending on the package selected. Additional participants may be accommodated for an additional fee when staffing and the selected activity allow.
How much space do you need?
Space requirements vary by activity. Generally, we require appropriate tables/work surfaces and enough room for participating children to interact safely.
Do you travel?
Yes. Genetics On-The-Go is a mobile service. Travel within the standard service area is included according to package terms; additional travel charges may apply outside the standard service area.
What should children wear?
Comfortable clothing is recommended. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided when required for the selected activity.
How far in advance should I book?
Birthday dates are subject to availability. Families are encouraged to reserve preferred dates several weeks in advance, particularly for weekends.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. I would establish a non-refundable booking retainer to secure a date and require the remaining balance before the event.
